Boxing Day
Today was the day when everyone was looking forward to the so-called Boxing Day sales. David Jones at 11am opened its doors to zillion of shoppers as part of WA’s trialling. Future Boxing Day sales depends on the reaction of shoppers and retailers.
As for me, I remain housebound away from the hustle and bustle of shops. Sipping soft drink as usual after having read the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Quite an interesting read and I already want to read some more! I will continue reading later tonight when I am not occupied with other Xmas functions such as meeting family and friends.
I played air hockey again today. I won against a friend and also against my brother. However they play, lightly or aggressively, I rise to the occasion and managed to win in 2 out of 3 scenarios, all of which were very close games barring one.
My brother has Trivial Pursuit, this time it has an electronic reader for questions and answers. In the old days, there were questions cards and answers, but the electronic reader now holds more – with more able to be downloaded from the internet. You can bet that many questions won’t be regurgitated too often, which makes for an interesting game. He also got the heart rater monitor, which can measure beats per minute or even the average beats per minute in the last five minutes, which reminds me of one of my goals to get fit in year 2009 most likely hitting the gym and playing some sports – and take physical activity more seriously since year 2008 was a inactive year for me physical-wise. This will be a new year resolution for me, but for now I’ll continue sipping soft drinks and eating chocolate. I can be guilty for a few days can I?
